First of all add the repository key to the system
wget -q -O – https://pkg.jenkins.io/debian/jenkins-ci.org.key | sudo apt-key add –
Then add its’ debian package repository address to source.list
echo deb https://pkg.jenkins.io/debian-stable binary/ | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jenkins.list
Get sudo update
sudo apt-get update
Now lets install jenkins
sudo apt-get install jenkins
Now you have successfully installed jenkins and you are ready to start the server.
sudo systemctl start jenkins
sudo systemctl status jenkins
Now jenkins is running and you can check it with status log similar to “Start Jenkins at boot time”.
Now add a firewall rule to access it . Default port is 8080
sudo ufw allow 8080
and check the port status using
sudo ufw status
if port is inactive then try below commands
sudo ufw allow OpenSSH
sudo ufw enable
Now you are done cli configurations
Go to browser and use below url. Port may as your concern.
http://localhost:8080
Now it will ask for administrator password. Find the password from below command / path
sudo cat /var/lib/jenkins/secrets/initialAdminPassword
And now you should be able to use copied password and continue.

And now I have clicked on “install suggested plugins”

Once plugins has been installed , create first admin user or continue as admin. Now you are ready to go.
